Muhammad Fadly Asis

Designation:
Art Specialist

I graduated from LaSalle SIA College of the Arts in 1999 with a Diploma in Visual Arts, majoring in sculpture. Art, photography and graphic design are my interests and passion. I 'stumbled' into preschool teaching three years ago while taking a break from teaching art when I joined the Knowledge Universe Apprenticeship Programme. Through this programme, I obtained the prerequisite qualification of a Diploma in Preschool (Teaching) to be an early childhood educator.

I believe that the training in early childhood and my background in art has given me a tremendous advantage in teaching art to young children. As Art Specialist at Odyssey, my passion for teaching art grew even stronger as I witnessed the joy children exude whilst creating a work of art, exploring materials and verbalising their thoughts and feelings. In addition, I am also passionately involved in photography, being my other passion. I contributed a lot to the school's effort in documenting the rich educational experiences of the children at Odyssey with my camera.  "Working at Odyssey gives me the greatest satisfaction I have ever derived from my entire career. I enjoy every single day of my work!
