Lam Shiao Jiun

I'm a proud mother of a beautiful and bright 21-month old baby girl, Lian. She is indeed my pride and joy. Being an animal lover, I have a dog, 2 cats and a terrapin at home; and I volunteer at the SPCA on weekends.

I graduated from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom with an Honours Degree in Combined Studies (Psychology & Sociology). My interest in teaching and working with children led me to pursue a Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching from the International Centre of Early Childhood in Singapore. I've had the pleasure of teaching preschool and primary school children. The experience has been enriching and rewarding. It's amazing watching them grow, develop and learn. Every child comes with his/her own unique story. The early years is a special time in a child's life. I believe it is a wonderful journey of discovery and learning. As teachers, we should nurture them and make learning fun! I always tell myself that I should strive to be the teacher I want my daughter to have.
