Kindergarten 2

Each day at Odyssey is filled with a variety of activities and routines designed to facilitate children’s physical, social, cognitive and emotional development. Arrival time is between 7.00am and 9.00am. Breakfast is served from 8.00am to 9.00am every morning. Children who have finished breakfast or are not taking breakfast are encouraged to enjoy indoor and outdoor freechoice activities such as bicycle play, balls, hoola hoops, sand play, art, music, puzzles, blocks, doll house, puppets or sociodramatic play at the home corner.

With the considerable progress and advancement in language and numearcy skills, our Kindy 2 children are beginning to be more proficient in communication, reading and writing. They actively use their acquired proficiency in literacy skills as the means for presenting ideas, knowledge and as a tool for learning content, concepts and skills. Children begin to develop increased understanding and knowledge of the world, and have a greater perspective and appreciation of large-scale environmental and community issues.
